Top 100 Songs of '09: 70-41

Here is the second instalment of my favorite songs of the year that was 2009. This year's list features 86 different acts/singers of which 49% are male, 47% female and 4% are duets.

Among the thirty bands and singers featured here today I chose to spotlight the Arctic Monkeys, who are another of my favorite bands of the decade. I picked two tracks from the Monkey's 2009 record Humbug for this year's list. They placed one track on the '06 list and two on the '07 version, and have well and truly cemented a place as on of my favorite bands.
