Top 100 Songs of '09: 40-11

On to day three of my top songs of '09 countdown. I go to a lot of different sources for my music these days, and so most years my list has a pretty world wide flavor. 2009 was no exception with just 51% of the songs coming from American acts. The next most was (again not surprisingly) from Australia with 20% of the total. England represented 10% and Scotland placed 4th with 7%. Canada made up 5% of the list while the last 65 came from Scandinavia with Sweden (4%) Norway (2%) and Denmark (1%) all chipping in as well.

Today, I've chosen to spotlight Megan Washington who has churned out a ton of great music over the last few years both in and out of groups. She has been featured with the Bamboos, as on the #11 song seen here, and also been a part of her own group Washington in the last year. Prior to that she has also released a jazz Duet record with Sean Foran and worked solo as well.
